Goodwill Industries of Michiana is bringing their Little Black Dress Fashion Show to Valparaiso this Thursday, September 19th at Strongbow Inn. Radio One Communications is among those partnering with Goodwill in the event, which raises funds to support Goodwill's mission to provide jobs, training and placement services for people with barriers to employment. “Now that the kids are back in school, it’s the perfect time for ladies to enjoy a fashion show and do some shopping for themselves. And, every purchase they make touches lives by giving others a chance to become self-sufficient,” shares Debie Coble, Vice President of Workforce Development Services and Public Relations.
You can hear Annie Fox's interview with Debie Coble here at our website at News Audio on Demand.
Models will walk the runway in clothing from Goodwill showcasing the latest fashion trends while guests enjoy a gourmet lunch. Fashion Expert, Kathy Friend will host the program and she will be joined by emcee Laura Waluszko, Radio One Communications’ News Director. Guests will enjoy shopping in Goodwill’s on-site Boutique with dressing rooms to try on their fashion selections. Doors open at 10:30 am in the Goodwill Boutique and 11:30 am for the Luncheon / Fashion Show. “This is an opportunity to see first-hand the colors and trends that are hot this fall and learn how to make them work for you. Then, shop the Goodwill Boutique to find the right pieces affordably,” says Kathy Friend. Tickets are available on-line at: www.goodwill-ni.org or by calling: (574) 472-7300.
