Man Arrested for Allegedly Pointing Gun at 4 People

A 29 year old man was taken into custody at gunpoint this morning after allegedly pointing a loaded handgun at three men and a woman while in the Valparaiso Steak 'n Shake parking lot. Valparaiso Police report the incident took place around 4am, after which they were called out and the suspect, William Ramsey, of Porter County's Center Township, was arrested after his vehicle was stopped at U-S 30 and Linwood Drive. Ramsey has been charged with felony intimidation and felony pointing a firearm.

Meanwhile police say the female subject who witnessed the incident and had the gun pointed at her fled the area and police are seeking her identity to assist in this case. The woman was reportedly driving a light blue Camry, and anyone with information regarding her identity is asked to contact the Valparaiso Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 462-2135.
