Police say a one-year-old boy whose disappearance prompted an Amber Alert out of Hammond last night was found safe in Chicago. Published reports say Jamara Strong disappeared about 1:45 Thursday afternoon from the 42-hundred block of Calumet Avenue after two people known to his parents drove away in a car with the child inside after the parents exited the vehicle to buy fireworks. Police say the case is still under investigation.
