A new analysis of wage-gap data shows the gap in northwest Indiana is among the most extreme in the nation. The gender-based wage gap affects women around the state, the study says, with the disparity in the First Congressional District seventh largest in the country, where women are paid 67-cents for every dollar paid to men, according to an analysis of US Census Bureau data by the National Partnership for Women and Families. The group says it's the first-ever look at the numbers by Congressional District.
