900 additional women will now have access to early detection screenings for breast and cervical cancer thanks to a supplemental award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the Indiana State Department of Health’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. State health officials say, on average, the program serves between six and seven-thousand women each year. Eligibility for the program is determined by age, income and family size.
