A Whiting man was sentenced to 26 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on Tuesday for voluntary manslaughter. The Lake County Prosecutor's Office reports Shawn Zvonar pled guilty to the felony charge, relating to an early morning incident on or about October 13th, 2011, where the 31 year old was with the victim, at his family-owned business in Whiting, when a brief altercation between the two took place, resulting in Zvonar becoming enraged and stabbing the victim.
