Three Region Mayors have accepted the” Mayor's Dare” challenge to be volunteer Bell Ringers for the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign. The Gary/Merrillville Corps' of the Salvation Army says Lake Station Mayor, Keith Soderquist has agreed to ring the bell at the Walgreen's on Central Avenue in Lake Station from 2pm to 8pm today. While Hobart Mayor, Brian Snedecor and members of his staff will serve at the entrance to Macy's Department store at the Westfield Southlake Mall this Friday from 9am to 1pm.Meanwhile Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson will be ringing the bell on Thursday, December 20^th, at the Fresh Country Market in Gary, from 10am to noon.
