A Region lawmaker puts the brakes on his specialty license plate bill, temporarily. House Bill 1279 by Valparaiso lawmaker Ed Soliday seeks to limit the number of plates that are available. Soliday delayed a committee vote after a more far-reaching amendment was proposed to block any group that's already had their plate revoked from getting another one. Reports say an Indianapolis-based gay rights group and Indiana 4H have lost plates on administrative grounds.
