The Indiana Historical Society says the cars, bought directly from Amtrak where they had been stored in Iowa, arrived covered in graffiti and were sandblasted, sanded and primed, and painted bright red. From 2013 through 2016 the train cars will travel to commemorate Indiana's bicentennial in 2016.
