Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

We are under a Heat Advisory for most of the Region through at least tomorrow as temps could break the century mark! YUCK! Make sure to check on your neighbors and keep an eye on kids and pets as they play in the heat the next couple of days. This is my favorite time of year.. Summer Fest Season! Already, kicked it off last weekend with my first trip to the Corn Roast in Crown Point and the Portage Township Summerfest! This weekend is stacked with great events as well:
CROWN POINTS HOMETOWN FESTIVAL DAYS CONTINUES THIS WEEKEND
On Friday, the festivities fire up again with the newly combined three-day Taste of the Region and the 38th annual Arts and Crafts Festival around the Old Lake County Courthouse.
More than 80 arts-and-crafters take over the lawn of the old courthouse while more than 40 restaurants and caterers serve their specialties on the surrounding streets. Taste hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 24.
At 6 p.m. Friday, the Marriage Mill Celebration on the courthouse east steps pays homage to Crown Point’s unique position as the place to tie the knot from 1915 to 1940. With no blood tests or waiting periods required, celebs from Rudolph Valentino to Ronald Reagan were among those 175,000 couples who flocked to the city to say “I do."
FEEL LIKE CANOEING?
Families are invited for a paddling/hiking day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Lake. Learn the basics of canoing and kayaking such as getting in an out of the watercraft, how to launch, paddling techniques and water safety from experienced paddlers. A limited number of canoes and kayaks with life jackets will be available or participants can bring their own.

The Loving Llanview Event at The Star Plaza has been rescheduled to the fall. Tickets for the June 23rd show will be honored on the makeup date Oct. 14th at 2pm. Officials are saying the rescheduling is due to the Daytime Emmy's announcing a tribute to One Life To Live scheduled for the same weekend in LA.
