AL ROKER OVERSLEEPS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 39-YEAR CAREER
Sometimes even the most dedicated of professionals have off days. And after 39 near-perfect years, Today show weatherman Al Roker finally had one of his own after he slept in for his morning weather show. Though hitting the snooze button or forgetting to set the alarm happens to the best of us, not everyone's mistake is noticed on live TV by millions of people. Once the NBC weatherman woke up, he tweeted about yesterday morning's mishap, writing: “After 39 years, it happened. I overslept and missed a show. Missed #WUWA. But will be on time for @today.” He was due to host his usual slot on Wake Up With Al on The Weather Channel at 6 a.m. When he eventually woke up and realized his mistake, he rushed to the NBC studios for his second job on the Today show.

Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer and Jerry Bruckheimer have an explanation for why "The Lone Ranger" flopped in the United States, and it apparently has nothing to do with them or the movie they put out. If they're to be believed, "The Lone Ranger" failed because American critics were "gunning for it." "I think the reviews were written seven-eight months before we released the film," Depp tells Yahoo TV. "I think the reviews were written when they heard Gore and Jerry and me were going to do 'The Lone Ranger.' They had expectations that it must be a blockbuster. I didn't have any expectations of that. I never do."
