Region teams are participating in the Indiana High School Football Tournament, with the opening round of sectional play tonight. Big crowds are expected for key match-ups this evening across the area, including Wheatfield, where Kankakee Valley is hosting Hobart. Other big games include Andrean at Wheeler, East Chicago Central at Hammond High, Valparaiso at Crown Point, Merrillville at Munster, and Portage at Lake Central.
