Numerous restrictions will be in effect Sunday (May 20) and Monday (May 21) on the South Shore... like no food or liquids on the trains those two days, and that includes coffee. NICTD (Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District) General Manager Gerald Hanas [hannus] says commuters need to be aware of these and other restrictions, and cancellations that will take effect due to the NATO summit in Chicago... here's the link to NICTD's website: www.nictd.com

Calling All Old Cell Phones!
107.1 The Z and Centier Bank want you to know that your old cell phone can help others! Donate your old cell phone at any Lake County Centier Bank branch to help support St. Jude House, a safe shelter for victims and their dependent children.
Want a new iPhone 4S?
While Centier is collecting your old cell phones, 107.1 The Z is collecting YOUR stories or suggestions (in 25 words or less) on how you give back to the Northwest Indiana community! We'll select one winner to receive a new iPhone 4S! Send us your iGiveBack story and register to win HERE!
Some phones are pre-programmed to 911 and given to women at the shelter for use during their stay and after to provide safety and the ability to reach someone if assistance is needed. Other phones are recycled through a company that exchanges the phones for a donation to the St. Jude House, which allows the shelter to provide all of their services free of charge.
Cell phone donations accepted through May 6th during business hours at any Lake County Centier branch. And listen to find out when a 107.1 The Z personality will be visiting a Centier branch near you!
